Twice a year, the Department of Public Works holds a hazardous waste drop off day at the DPW on Baskin Drive. For the October day, Saturday, October 5th, the recycling center for resident drop-off of electronics, mattresses, scrap metal, and cans, bottles, paper, and cardboard will be closed. ONLY HAZARDOUS PRODUCTS WILL BE ACCEPTED THAT DAY.
Pre-registration is a must. By doing so, you have a guarantee that your acceptable waste will be taken at your preferred time and your wait will be minimal. Arriving without pre-registration or earlier or later than your appointment time will substantially increase your waiting time. There is a limit up to 25 liquid gallons or 25 solid pounds per household. For more details, please contact the DPW.
